I won my first camera in a drawing at a local shoe store when I was in the fourth grade, and I have been hooked ever since.
I studied art at DePauw University and the Center for Photographic Studies in Louisville before getting a Masters in Library and Information Studies at UC Berkeley.
After working as a programmer analyst for the University of California library system for twenty three years, I was fortunate to be able to retire early and get back to my first love, photography. I moved back to my hometown of Auburn, Indiana in the Fall of 2005, with my husband, two dogs, a cat, and a goldfish.
I use photography to draw attention to the details in life. Beauty can be found almost anywhere if you just take the time to notice it. My photographs are moments of my life that I have found to be beautiful or amusing or otherwise interesting. I hope you enjoy them.
I am affected by Marfan Syndrome and I donate ten percent of all my art sales to the
National Marfan Foundation.
The photographs on these pages were taken with a Canon Powershot Pro1, an Olympus E-20N, a Canon Powershot S400, a Canon Powershot SD IS 700, and an HP Photosmart 620.
My photographs are available for sale through this website and at Expressions Gallery in Auburn, Indiana.
I'd love to hear your comments on my photography.
